Many Thanks to A Better Way Dog Training. After sending our dog Jake to an outside trainer, we realized shortly after we brought him home that we did not have the skills to be a dog trainer and our dog was right back to his same old habits. Barking at people, jumping up, being pushy and chewing on everything, even though we told him No. Jake had his basic obedience down, but there seemed to be a lot of miss communication somewhere. After calling Jamie we realized that WE needed the training also, to teach Jake to be a happy healthy dog and to stop all his annoying behaviors. Jamie taught us what it means to Jake to be the Pack Leader. Something both Jake and I were missing. She taught us how to use dog Psychology to communicate with Jake, she also taught us that body language and tone of voice are very important. This means everything when training a dog. We are now very happy with Jake and Jake is Very happy with us. The best part is we will never have to pay another trainer again; we can now train any dog that comes into our home. I was recommended to Jamie for dog training from a good friend of mine who also used A Better Way Dog Training. I was excited to hear that Jamie used Humane techniques. I had had a terrible experience with another dog trainer locally with some unethical business practices. I lost more money with them than Jamie charged me in Total, and never got one training session!
Jamie came to our home and trained Poncho personally. She was very knowledgeable and professional. She helped us better understand why our dog was acting the way he was. The transformation of our dog was AMAZING. After watching Cesar Milan in the Dog Whisperer for three or four years, we knew what we expected from our dogs. We just didn’t know how to go about training the animals. When Jaime entered the room with our dogs, she took immediate control of the situation. After our first session we had valuable tools to work with towards achieving well-behaved, well-balanced animals. With each following session we received more tools to advance our skills as calm and assertive pack leaders. Many of our neighbors comment on how calm and well-behaved our pets are. We were recommended from one of the vets here on Fort Hood to call Jamie for dog training. We called her and a few other places and compared. Not only were her prices great but she was the only trainer who will come to your house to train your dog. Every other place you have to bring your dog to them and sometimes leave them there! Her way of teaching, us and our dog, through dog psychology, is amazing! We could tell within the first 10 minutes that we’d keep her on as our dog trainer. I would (and have!) recommended Jamie to anyone with a dog. Whether they think they have a problem dog or not! She works wonders!

  We want to thank you so much for all of your help with Buddy and Jake. Before I got this training my dogs didn't listen to me at all. They were pushy and hyper and just very disobedient, especially on walks. When I was about 18 weeks pregnant I was attempting to walk my dogs, and Jake ended up getting away from me and biting someone.My husband was in Iraq at the time and I had no one to help me walk them. I was told I either had to put Jake down or get him training (along with other things). I called A Better Way Dog Training along with a few other dog training companies You were the only one willing to help me with Jake after he had bitten someone. I did not want to put Jake down because he had never done anything like this before. He was a stray puppy that was found on the streets and I raised him. We knew he wasn't a bad dog. It was a big plus that for one price I would get both my dogs trained. You showed me that my dogs can be very smart and obedient. I really did see results after just the first lesson. Now my husband is home from Iraq, and my baby is 2 months old. We are a happy family with well behaved dogs that we are very proud of. I would recommend this training to anyone.  We called Jamie as soon as we got our new Husky because we heard they could be a handful.  Jamie taught us how to get Ranger to behave in no time.  With in the first two sessions our stubborn 8 week old Husky was better trained than any grown dog we have had in the past.  We have been very impressed and Ranger sits, stays, and walks with no problems, not to mention all the extra stuff we learned.  We were very very pleased and can't wait to get our younger Husky started into her program.  Thanks Again Jamie   The Napiers (Walt, Steph, Ranger, & Apollo)
